I attend, whenever I can, a loosely non-organized librul discussion group in Hood River, OR. One of the non-leaders, David Hupp, responded to another member's call to sign the White House petition to get the administration (POTUS, DoJ, Atty.Gen, FBI, US Atty) off their dead asses in re the Masher NATIONAL (caps mine) Wildlife Refuge terrorists. Here's his response, edited only slightly:
Note this: on january 4, white house press secretary josh earnest said, "Ultimately this is a LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MATTER (caps mine) and the FBI is monitoring the situation and offering support to local law enforcement officials." He added that the President was aware of the situation.

The Oregonian finally got on the ball and unearthed the REAL CONSTITUTIONAL LAW governing the situation, law that gives counties NO power at all:

the first section, federal land control, says all we need to know and could have been published weeks ago; the rest is distraction
so far i've counted 9 federal crimes:• trespassing on federal property (likely a misdemeanor)
• conspiracy to trespass on federal property (the occupation planned back in the fall, which makes it a felony)
• accessing federally protected information
• theft of federal property
• destruction of federal property
• bringing weapons onto federal property
• assault
• destruction of protected indian sites
• threatening federal employees
so far 9 provable crimes, all of them federal
if you want to know the chain of disabled federal authorities, here are the names and titles: President Barack Obama, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, Oregon FBI Special Agent in Charge Gregory Bretzing, and United States Attorney Billy Williams
this disease is spreading to grant county and can be expected to spread further now is the time to nip it in the bud: close the refuge's only 2-lane road going in and arrest anyone who leaves the refuge; cut off electricity; spray the place with nitrous oxide so they chill out
